I was lucky enough to be able to pick up this beautiful painting by Terese Nielson while I was at Comic Con International 2007. I am not sure what is supposed to be happening in this image. Terese Neilsen does a lot of work for fantasy card games and book covers so I will have to keep an eye out to see how it is used. My own interpretation is that of a knight receiving God’s blessing before setting out on a quest.

*UPDATE* Wow, I was more accurate than I realized. This card comes from the game “Magic” tenth edition and is called “Holy Strength”. It does not seem to be a particularly important card, but its nice that I know where it comes from. Of course, I had to go out and buy the card itself. I guess I should be glad its not an important one so it was pretty cheap. I have included scans of the both the standard card and the foil version.
