I have owned my first Weiss cel for nearly five years now. I had always intended to get cels of the other main characters, but I never saw anything that attracted me strongly enough to put up a fight for. Then this cel came along. I really like the colors used in the background and that the characters both look relatively happy.

This cel comes from when Yoji and Omi return the kidnapped little girl to her mother. The two cel layers actually come from different sequences. In the first sequence, Omi is standing still while he watches mother and daughter reunite. In the meantime Yoji pulls out a comb and starts to straighten out his hair in order to impress the mother. The camera briefly goes back to the mother as she looks at Yoji in surprise. The camera then catches Omi turning to Yoji as he goes from being happy to being rather shocked at Yoji’s behavior.
